Summer 2014
Thanks to YOU the 2014 summer was amazing for PCMM! We were able to touch the hearts of children by traveling to Cary, Clinton, Laurel, and Magee in Mississippi.
At Cary Christian Center in Cary, Mississippi, PCMM was invited to conduct financial literacy games for the children. PCMM used fun and creative computer games online that effectively taught financial skills and success to the children. The classes were molded to fit the various ages of the children by utilizing our customized booklets that the children could take home with him. These booklets contained internet websites and instructions for each game that PCMM used. The booklets were customized for the younger and older children at the camps.
PCMM was also invited to conduct character building events at the Magee Library in Magee, Mississippi. Because all children learn in various different ways, PCMM customized the events to fit the needs of the various ages of the children that attended. We read books, touched on the children’s creative side by conducting arts and crafts activities, played fun games for social interaction, and watched a fun and educational video about respect.
Wayside Youth Academy in Clinton, Mississippi, also wanted PCMM to teach character building activities to their youngsters! The children participated in arts and crafts, book readings, and games. They were also able to watch an entertaining and educational video about respect. On the last day PCMM was there, the children were rewarded for their excellent behavior and received certificates from PCMM declaring that they completed PCMM’s character building course.
The children were left with smiles on their faces. We hope to do this all over again next year. Thank you for your support, because PCMM would not be here without YOU.
